We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming production, Casa Rio - A South Texas Comedy by Robert Nieto directed by Frank Garcia Jr. We’ve been fortunate to reunite most of the 2019 cast but we’re needing to fill in some important roles! A little bit about the show: The misadventures of enterprising Consuelo and her pushy neighbor, Licha, provoke laughter reminiscent of the “I Love Lucy” sitcoms of yesteryear. An upcoming convention inspires Consuelo to convert her home into Casa Rio Bed & Breakfast, and she soon discovers that the pursuit of the American dream is not as easy as she thought.”

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 18th @ 7:30 at Aurora Arts Theatre located at 5635 Everhart Rd, Corpus Christi TX. The show will run June 25 - July 4 with possible extension.

We are auditioning for the following roles: 

Consuelo, (40’s – 50’s) – Hispanic/ Female - Owner of Casa Rio Bed and Breakfast, sort of the leader of the antics of the two ladies; kind of the Lucy to Licha’s Ethel. Religious and committed to the way of the south Texas Culture. Entrepreneurial, “Brains of the outfit” .

Mrs. Gao, (30’s – 40’s) – Asian/ Female - Conventioneer, guest of Marsha, she is Asian, and has very strong Asian dialect. Her full name is Chin Gao (say it together).

Phil Torrington, (20’s – 40’s) Any/ Male– News Reporter. Strong, articulate, commanding and stereotypical in that regard.
