Acting Sessions
AAT’s new “Acting Sessions” will help attendees ages 7-14 gain confidence in the crafts of acting, auditioning, improv and more. Whether you’re new to the stage or are a seasoned performer — our instructor will give you the foundation to hone your craft.
Presently, we do request face coverings be worn.
$35 per person
Sessions run 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Please wear lightweight, comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
Prior to 10 DAYS before your registered session, you have the opportunity to receive a full refund minus a 50% non-refundable fee. No-shows will result in forfeiture of payment. Contact auroraartstheatre@gmai.com.
About Our Instructor
Deborah Leal-Ramirez is a professional actress and theatre arts educator. She has an Associates of Fine Arts in Drama from Del Mar College and a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Arts from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She has worked professionally in print and film, becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild in 2011 and has been in numerous theatre productions around the Coastal Bend, the last being “The Vagina Monologues”, which she also directed, at the Aurora in 2020. Mrs. LealRamirez has taught Theatre Arts in the public school sector for twelve years at both the middle and high school level. She has coached students to the State and National Levels of speech and theatre competitions and has judged on all competition levels. As an actor and a coach, she brings a unique approach to the art of acting and is looking forward to sharing that with other artists.
