CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (March 11, 2021) — Aurora Arts Theatre (AAT) today announces its first musical production in over a year. Stuart Ross’ Forever Plaid opens March 26, 2021 and this stroll down memory lane is sure to bring a smile to your face.

Featuring such songs as Catch a Falling Star, Day-O, 16 Tons, Three Coins in the Fountain and Chain Gang, the musical centers around four young singers are killed in a car crash. The heavens grant them the opportunity to posthumously take the stage for one final gig in this goofy, 1950’s nostalgia trip. Enjoy the golden tunes of yesteryear as The Plaids, a quartet of high school friends, return from the afterlife for their last chance at musical glory.

"This will be the theatre’s first musical production in more than a year," said Dylan Rios, AAT marketing director. "Our team has assembled a talented cast to interpret this quirky, classic, barbershop quartet must see. The Plaids are Luke Kasner as Francis, Bailey Roberts as Jinx, Eric De La Garza as Smudge, and Jacob Mendez as Sparky."

With the safety of our patrons in mind, AAT will continue to operate at 35% capacity and follow social distancing guidelines. Patrons are required to wear face coverings - except when eating or drinking. Staff, musicians, and actors will also wear face coverings.

"We’re excited to welcome the magic of musical theatre back to our stage."
