AAT’s “Acting Sessions” will help attendees ages 8-15 gain confidence in the crafts of acting, auditioning, improv and more. Whether you’re new to the stage or are a seasoned performer — our instructor will give you the foundation to hone your craft.

Meet Our Instructors
*Deborah Leal-Ramirez is a professional actress and theatre arts educator. She has an Associates of Fine Arts in Drama from Del Mar College and a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Arts from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. She has worked professionally in print and film, becoming a member of the Screen Actors Guild in 2011 and has been in numerous theatre productions around the Coastal Bend, the last being “The Vagina Monologues”, which she also directed, at the Aurora in 2020. Mrs. LealRamirez has taught Theatre Arts in the public school sector for twelve years at both the middle and high school level. She has coached students to the State and National Levels of speech and theatre competitions and has judged on all competition levels. As an actor and a coach, she brings a unique approach to the art of acting and is looking forward to sharing that with other artists.
**Fernando S. Albiar started acting back in 2000. He has participated in many productions at The Harbor Playhouse and at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Spending some time in Chicago, he was cast in TV shows such as Chicago P.D. and Written Off. He has also had many credits on stage in the off-loop theatre scene in Chicago. He is excited to share his experiences with the students of Aurora Art Theatre.
